Dear All,

I got married two months ago in India under the Special Marriages Act. I have been living and working in Germany  since late 2012. I currently hold a Blue Card and I expect that I will be receiving the niederlassung erlaubnis before the end of this month.

I work with a small company ( less than 10 employees) as a Manager for SAP Support Services.  And I have also been told ( verbally) by my employer that he will have to terminate my employment very soon because the company is not doing good business wise.

Can you please help me with the following.

1) How will the loss of job affect my niederlassung process?

2) It is very important that I get my wife to Germany as soon as possible. Will not having a job but having a niederlassungerlaubnis be sufficient to get her here. Or is having a  job mandatory.

Any other advice?

As long as you have nothing in written form it is not "important" for the administration. This verbally message is not necessary to be relayed to the foreigneradministration. Even though you should look for different job. But you should be

You need a Job with sufficient income.
